Hello Dear Storytellers!
This month's story is about a young person named August. I have included an option to tell the story in they/them pronouns. This is something amazing that creates a more inclusive environment for many people. While children, as soon as they are exposed to this language, will adapt to it easily, it is the adults who may have difficulties - not in accepting gender neutrality or wishing to respect individuals identifying as non-binary or understanding that some folks would simply prefer not to have their gender included in their title - but because it isn’t something we’ve integrated into our vocabulary yet. I thought we could practice together. It may sound grammatically incorrect at times. There are many resources you can easily find to explain how to use they/them pronouns and all the information one could possibly wish for on the subject. I am not an expert on this subject but if you have any questions I can try to help find you answers. Thank you for exploring this with me. View the starter story here and visit the store to subscribe or get the one Tale and have access to all 12 prompt cards as well. Love, Marna Happy Storytelling!
