Hello and Happy March! This month we meet Anka, a young girl who follows an owl to a wonderful place. As we reach the end of winter and the time of earliest spring there is so much magic. Can you feel the energy of all the life just waiting to suddenly spring forth? There will still be some chilly days but the days are getting longer and the smells are changing. See if you and your children can incorporate one little difference you notice on your walk each day into your storytelling. The sound of snow melting, birds that weren't here just a couple of weeks ago, the buds on the trees almost ready to pop out, the way the sunlight is a bit different... If you live somewhere that it doesn't get as cold what kind of differences do you see? Maybe baby animals or different flowers blooming? I hope you enjoy this magical time and this story to go along with it. Thank you, - Marna
A March Tale including a French and Spanish version
Inside the March Tale you will find the Starter Tale which you may choose to read once at the beginning or each day that you are telling your Tales or anything in between. You will also find 12 little prompt cards. You may print them out or use them on your device. Either way you will find many different paths to travel and characters to meet along the way - however many YOU choose! You may end up picking each of the cards more than once allowing for different things to happen each time or to add on to what you've told before. One of the best things to do if you are just starting out on your journey as storyteller is to focus on details - details of the physical surroundings, such as, objects in your tale, smells in the air, temperature or sounds. And then go from there and enjoy yourself! The children will have many ideas that will surprise and delight you as well :) As always, let me know if you have any thoughts or questions at all by contacting me here.
