Inside this Tale of Twiglets you will find the starter Tale which you may choose to read once or each day that you are telling your Tales or anything in between, and the story-starter cards. You can print the pages on a card paper, or a thin paper and laminate. You may choose to put the cards in an envelope and have the children choose which to use. Print out the creative writing sheets or give the children the stationery pages to write and draw their own stories!
You may end up picking each of the cards more than once allowing for different things to happen each time or to add on to what you've told before, or you can set them aside once you've used them and go on to another. |
One of the best things to do if you are just starting out on your journey as storyteller is to focus on details - details of the physical surroundings, such as, objects in your tale, smells in the air, temperature or sounds. And then go from there and enjoy yourself! The children will have many ideas that will surprise and delight you as well :) Please see the blog for more storytelling tips and advice.
As always, let me know if you have any thoughts or questions at all by contacting me here. Thank you and Happy Storytelling! |
