March is here and spring is coming soon!

Hello storytellers and welcome to this March Tale. Here we meet a young girl who has a special friendship with a bear. Where he comes from we don't know - yet - but I know you will come up with a wonderful story about where he's from and how their cherished friendship was formed. Many of us are experiencing a deeper understanding of how much friendship means right now and what a wonderful thing to talk more about with our children. The stories you find here are simple, timeless and filled with possibility for you to take them wherever you may wish to go. In times of trauma storytelling can bring us peace and calm, stories can help us explain things that are difficult to explain and explore feelings like fear and anxiety in a removed way. But stories can also be simple, happy and good. Don't worry about doing it in any specific way and enjoy yourself.
If storytelling is new to you, sometimes you may take bits from stories that you've told or heard before. Familiar storylines are always a way to begin if you can't think of what to say, and your children will like visiting a story they've heard before and branching out from there with the prompts you will find attached. See more tips below or visit the blog to find some storytelling advice.
As always, let me know if you have any questions. Even if you are having trouble telling your stories - if you let me know then I can help!

Happy Storytelling! Please feel free to share with friends.
Love and peace to you and your family, Marna

If you are just starting your journey as a storyteller, think of details to add - warm sun, crunchy leaves, soft mist... Smells - fragrant flowers, wet forest , salty sea air... Sounds - barking dogs, children laughing, the tiniest sound of butterfly wings. You may tell the story in a normal voice and switch to a whisper at the appropriate time in the story or when you wish to bring the child/ren in a bit further. The children LOVE anything you will come up with and you will get really good at this with practice and even a few minutes can bring so much pleasure to you and your littles. Visit the blog for more storytelling ideas, a storytelling song and more.
