Matching games are fun for any age! These autumn themed watercolor images will delight as you exercise your memory and spend time together.
Print two of each page on heavy paper. After you cut them you may wish to round the corners (it makes them less likely to bend and it looks nice too :)
You don't need to use them all each time depending on the ages of the children as there are kind of a lot!
You can also use them to write tiny notes and put in a gift, or as a note to your children from the fairies :)

Print the pages, cut out the autumnal bits and glue them on. Instructions included. For your children, their dolls, or you! Have a crown making party! OR make an autumn garland with the shapes like I did ;)

p.s. glue works just splendidly but if you have glue dots they work VERY well for this project.

All Hallows' Eve Scavenger Hunt
Here you will find a wondrous and fun addition to your Halloween festivities. A Scavenger Hunt!
This Scavenger Hunt begins with a story that you will read to the children. The children are having a party for All Hallows' Eve but the fairies are nowhere to be found in the Enchanted Forest!
This is where the adventure begins. The children (in the story) go deep, deep into the forest to find a very kind witch - the only person who knows how to open the door to the Land of the Fairies!
The witch gives to the children instructions to first; make a fairy house, and second; to follow 12 clues that will help the children brew their magical potion. The potion will result in a special treasure that you will put in your fairy house so that when your spell opens the door to the Land of the Fairies, the fairies will have a place to go!
As the children play a game or sing songs a little bit away from the fairy house (as everyone knows the fairies won't come to our land if anyone is standing there watching) the fairies will visit leaving something behind as evidence they were there. As you may know, fairies coming to visit is a most magical event for the young child!
They know they won't actually see the fairies (at least not right now) and will be delighted with the trace of fairy dust, note, flower or whatever magical evidence the fairies leave behind.
Your digital files will include 5 pages:

• The Tale
• 12 clues
For ages 3/4 to any age that would love to build a fairy house, search for ingredients to make a potion and find whatever evidence the fairies visited or gifts they have left. One way to make it more fun for older kids is to have the fairies leave something that they will enjoy. Maybe they don't believe in fairies any longer - but magic can still happen in a thoughtful note from the fairies, a beautiful crystal, the makings for a craft that they'd love etc. Ask me if you need any help thinking of something!

The Nature or Household items you will need (also on the instructions you can download and print)
• To make a fairy house can be as simple or as complex as you'd like it to be. Sticks, leaves, stones and flowers or anything the children would like.
• a cauldron - this can be anything you’d like - a cast iron dutch oven, a big bowl, bin, basket etc.
• 1. leaves
• 2. stones
• 4. pumpkins (one small)
• 6. sticks
• 7. pine cones
• 8. ghost (white piece of fabric hanging from a tree)
• 9. broom
• 9. small piece of yarn or twine
• 10. acorns
• 11. seed pods, bark or dirt
• Something special an adult will put at the
bottom of the cauldron.
This is what the potion turns into.
Once all of the ingredients are stirred and the wishes are made this treasure will be revealed - it can be
crystals, jewels, painted rocks - think a small, special thing that you will then put into the fairy house! OR you can certainly just put the potion itself right in or near your fairy house because it will be SO magic by the time you're done :)
• And last but not least,
evidence the fairies have visited -fairy dust (any glitter), a note from the fairies, a flower or anything special. The fairies can leave all the children a little gift (crystals, a note to each specific child etc.)
