She had been out for a walk on this sunny day. As she reached the top of the hill and looked down she something in the little valley below. "What could it be?" She wondered. It looked like a large wooden trunk. Reaching it quickly and only hesitating for a moment before opening it, she gasped with surprise as the sun bounced off what appeared to be many little suns inside. Soon realizing that each light was in fact a jewel, she could not imagine why such a treasure would be here. Suddenly a shadow came between her and the sun. She looked up to see a large body, even larger wings and feet with claws the size of her arms. The great beast snatched her up and carried her away...

As I walked through the town the blasts of color and light were so loud for my eyes and ears that I had to cover them all for a moment. Then I peaked through my fingers and stared at the wonder of it all. "What a glorious night." I said softly to myself.

Of all the magical places in the world, this was one of the most. In the deepest part of the forest one would find rings of rocks, clumps of mushrooms or itsy bitsy flowers, all holding secret powers of their own. If approached carefully one could even find themselves in the same realm as this magic and if the right words were said and the purest feelings felt, a deep true wish could be granted... The sun shone so bright this afternoon calling the gnomes out for an emergency parade. The first in line held the flag high and began to sing. In a somewhat squiggly line they marched up over the hill and down the lane. As they reached the bridge the fish in the stream all jumped out of the water at once, bubbles floating from their open mouths. Upon cresting the next hill 1000 birds flew into the sky and spiraled upward toward the blazing sun and then down again as it became too hot. Soon, the gnomes were ready for a snack and a nap. They sat upon blankets and ate yummy muffins and drank refreshing lemonade, then lay their heads down upon their arms and went to sleep...

The princess heard the bird before she saw it. Following the distressed sound, she came upon a bramble in which the bird was caught. Though as careful as could be, the princess was scratched and her sleeve torn when finally the bird was pulled to safety. "Thank you." Said the bird. "My name is Azu." He proceeded to tell her his tale of how he had come to be in the predicament she had found him in. Begonia, the princess, sat wide eyed and listened. What an adventure he had had! This was to be the beginning of a lifelong friendship between the princess and the bird...

Seymour and Percival (Seymour's friend mouse) are down by the sea. As they stroll along the sea wall looking into the deep blue water they see a large fish. The fish is a beautiful color of orange that both Seymour and Percival admire. They come to a shallow place near the shore where they wade in. Just then there is a big splash as the fish jumps from the deeper water landing directly in front of the boy and mouse. Percival hides in Seymour's pocket while the fish says in a watery voice "Please help me. I've swallowed something and it's stuck." Seymour is a little nervous about reaching into the very large mouth of a very large fish, but he would like to help. Percival says "Be careful." Seymour reaches in...

Where am I? wondered Gloria. She had been on a leaf when the storm struck and now found herself, well, she had no idea where she was except for that wherever it was was way up high off of the ground. Carefully she moved to peer over the side. "Oh!" Gloria exclaimed. She decided the best thing to do would be to take a rest. Suddenly someone was there. It was a giant! He came closer and reached out and picked Gloria up. She was so scared there was nothing to do but shut her eyes and hold her breath. Then she felt a cool leaf beneath her. Opening her eyes, she saw that she had ever so gently been placed on a low leaf near the ground. She breathed a sigh of relief. She looked up at the giant who was smiling down at her and said a silent "thank you". She watched as the giant was scooped up by another much, much larger giant and taken back inside...

Off in the distance they can see the tallest tower. After walking all day through the forest the two children, brother and sister, are ready to reach their destination. Their journey has been a long one, from the small village of their birth to the large city where they will stay with their auntie. They will begin attending school soon and both are very excited and not just a little nervous. They can see the path through the trees becoming wider and more worn as they approach their destination. The sister takes hold of her older brothers hand for comfort. They look at each other and smile...

Mama owl and her seven owlets sit on the branch overlooking the forest floor. They watch silently as the many animals get ready for bed, or are also waking up for the night, below. Mama would soon go collect food for her babies to eat as the little owlet's tummies are rumbling. One little owlet heard something from behind him. He turned around and saw something amazing... And yes, these owls are made from Legos at Legoland ;)

The penny flew through the air with the little girl's wish attached to it. It took no time at all to land, shiny and new, among all the others in the fountain. Some moved over to make room while others hadn't moved for what looked to have been years. The leaves did a little dance with the movement of the water and settled back down with a "hello" here and a "welcome" there. The wish kept the penny warm as had the girl's hand and her papa's pocket before...

Well, this photo brings to mind stories of not very nice trolls - and magical spells binding them to live within this tree forevermore. Of course, pretty much everyone who is not very nice has been treated not very nice themselves at some point - at least that is what I keep informing my son as if it is the TRUTH - so maybe some human or creature, kind and brave, will come along to save the oppressed trolls from their sorry fate and everyone will live happily ever after - or maybe not.
